Closest Friends and Family

A Small Wedding Package

Ready to Talk About Planning Your Dream Elopement or Wedding?

Closest Friends and Family Wedding Package Description

We upgraded our elopement package and created a wedding package we call Closest Friends and Family. This package accommodates up to 12 guests, and adds a small reception after the ceremony with light food and non-alcoholic beverages.  You can each designate a best man or maid of honor, and we’ll supply flowers for them to wear during the ceremony. They will also serve as the official witnesses to your marriage, and will sign your marriage license as required by Kentucky law. Your wedding planner will serve as the photographer for the marriage ceremony.

If you’ve always dreamed of an outdoor wedding, you can get married outside in our private garden and courtyard. If you prefer indoors, you can choose any of our luxurious common rooms on the first floor of the mansion, and make a glamorous entrance down the grand staircase from the second floor into the foyer.

We’ve upgraded the flowers and decorations in this package that we’ll use to decorate the space you select. For the wedding ceremony, we’ll provide an altar, a podium for the officiant, and chairs for your guests. We will have tables for the champagne toast, wedding cake, and reception refreshments. We will also have plenty of glasses, plates, napkins, and utensils for your guests, and a trash can for waste.

The most important part of the event is the marriage ceremony. We furnish the wedding officiant, and we let you customize the script used for the opening remarks, readings, vows, ring exchange, and pronouncement of marriage. You can also select music you want to play during the ceremony. Kentucky law requires that (1) the couple makes a verbal declaration of their intent to marry (“I do”); and (2) the officiant formally declares the couple as married.

We will have two bottles of bubbly chilling for the toast after the pronouncement of marriage. After the toast, we’ll take a few more photographs and then your guests can mingle and enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and beverages.  At some point during the reception, everyone will gather for the cutting (and eating) of the wedding cake, which we also provide as part of the package.

Your wedding can last for up to four hours, and you can hold it any time of day, subject to the wedding officiant’s availability. When the event is over, we will take care of the breakdown and cleanup while you can retire to your honeymoon suite and two other couples can join you for overnight accommodations in the Carriage House.

The cost for this package, excluding taxes and fees, is $4,560 for a weekday wedding or $5,410 for a weekend celebration.

Note: Included in the price of this package is rental of the entire Carriage House for either one (weekday) or two (weekend) nights. This gives you exclusive access to the entire carriage house. This also means you have two hotel suites for overnight accommodations, such as for out-of-town guests. Once you identify who will occupy each suite, your guests can arrange to pay individually for their suites by providing us with a credit card. We will bill them for room and tax and deduct that from the price of your wedding package.
