This free concert series returns for its 23rd season in 2025, bringing live music, food trucks, and family-friendly fun to the Big Four Lawn at Louisville’s Waterfront Park. Held on the last Wednesday of each month from April through September, Waterfront Wednesday is one of our most popular free events—and it’s just minutes by car from the Louisville Bourbon Inn, or about a 20-minute walk if you’re trying to get some exercise.
What Is Waterfront Wednesday?
Waterfront Wednesday is a monthly outdoor concert series held on the last Wednesday of each month from April through September. Hosted by 91.9 WFPK and Waterfront Park, the concert series features top-tier national acts, up-and-coming artists, and local favorites. It’s a perfect way to listen to some great live music as you enjoy a summer evening along the Ohio River. It’s one of the most popular summer events and it’s completely free!
Where is it Held?
The event takes place on the Big Four Lawn, located right next to the Big Four Pedestrian Bridge. It’s about 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bicycle from the Louisville Bourbon Inn.
The park opens at 5 pm and the music starts at 6 pm. There are three bands that play each night.
What’s At the Venue?
Waterfront Wednesdays is one of the most diverse music festivals in Louisville. Each month’s show features a fresh mix of genres—from folk and rock to soul and indie pop. But there’s more than just a free concert and fabulous riverfront views!. There are also:

- Local vendors and artist booths
- A designated kids and family area
- Prepaid parking at Lynn Family Stadium’s Green Lot available for convenience
The concert is Pet-friendly if you bring a leash. You’ll also need a lawn chair or blanket for getting comfortable as you listen to an unforgettable evening of music in Waterfront Park.
