What a morning! The 12th Annual Gravy Cup brought out the best of the best, with more than 30 chefs, home cooks, and biscuit-and-gravy enthusiasts competing for the ultimate title. And in a room filled with incredible talent, one name stood out above the rest—our very own Allen Mitchell!

In his very first year competing, Allen walked away with the People’s Choice Award—the prize awarded not by judges, but by the attendees themselves. And let’s be honest, that’s the award that really matters. Because when people come back for seconds, thirds, and even fourths, you know you’re doing something right!

It’s no secret that Allen’s biscuits and gravy have been a fan favorite at the Louisville Bourbon Inn for a while now. But what sets his dish apart from the competition?
